Collectie: Roodheid en irritatie

Redness and irritation can stem from sensitive skin, sun exposure, rosacea, harsh skincare, or allergic reactions.

How to treat redness and irritation?

Use soothing ingredients: Aloe vera, calendula extract, oatmeal, niacinamide (vitamin B3), chamomile, cica (centella asiatica).

Moisturize to restore the skin barrier: Redness and irritation are often the result of a damaged skin barrier. Use a rich moisturizer that helps repair the skin’s barrier and locks in moisture. Look for ceramides and glycerin.

Avoid irritating ingredients: If you have sensitive skin, avoid products with the following ingredients that can worsen redness and irritation: Fragrance or essential oils, alcohol (especially denatured alcohol), harsh exfoliants (AHAs, BHAs), retinoids (if used too frequently for sensitive skin). Opt for gentle, fragrance-free formulas.

Calming toners and serums: Aloe Vera, niacinamide, and Cica.

Sun Protection: Sunscreen is critical for irritated skin because UV rays can make redness and irritation worse. Always use broad-spectrum SPF. Look for mineral sunscreens (Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide) that are gentle and less likely to irritate.

Home Remedies for Immediate Relief: Cold Compress (Apply a clean, cool washcloth to the skin to reduce heat and redness), oatmeal bath (For irritation on the body), and honey (A natural humectant that can hydrate and calm irritated skin).
